APH - Smile, Smile

...Wow, another Hetalia fan art. I'm such a non-original dork. XD I assure you that some original works will show their faces sooner or later. Anyways, this one marks my first true USA/Japan fan art! Woo-hoo! Ameripan is my Hetalia OTP, and I adore it so very much. ^w^ I want to draw more with those two at some point or another!

I recently saw the Nyotalia sketches on the Hetalia wiki and just had to do this. Fem!America (Emily Jones) is so precious (and sexy, no homo)! So is fem!Japan (Honda Sakura), but I like the idea of Kiku/Emily a lot better than Alfred/Sakura. Probably because that's the closest Kiku gets to wearing the pants in the relationship. Maybe I should draw Alfred/Sakura at some point? :3

I am beyond AMAZED that my scanner actually pulled through for this one. Look at dem colors! Maybe it worked a little too well...there's actually a lot more gray then there appears to be in Kiku's uniform, but I guess it was over-enhanced or something.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with how this turned out, especially since this was my first time drawing those types of poses. I'm a little irked by Japan's hands, though. - 3 -; I even tried picking up one of my cats in a smiliar motion in order to get a good idea of what they would look like, but they still look pretty jacked up. Sorry. My favorite thing to draw was Emily's skirt. But GAWD her arm is screwed up...! >_<

...And before you label me as some sort of perv, go check out Himaruya's sketches of Emily. Yes, they're that huge.
